The LIQUID LENSE Underwater Moviemaker Course is a 1-day introductory course designed to help you get the most out of an underwater video camera without taking too much time out of your dive holiday.
Make two dives with a professional videographer at your side giving you expert tips and tricks to help you get the best out of a digital video camera. Learn a little about editing, add music & effects to your underwater footage and burn your dive movie to DVD to take home and show off to your friends.
What will I Learn during the Underwater Moviemaker Course?
This course is designed for divers looking for a quick introduction into underwater video and those looking to capture some underwater holiday memories to take home and enjoy.
Make 2 dives with a professional underwater videographer at your side giving you expert tips and tricks to help you get the best from a digital video camera. Finish off with an easy introduction to digital editing techniques and burn a DVD of your movie to take home and enjoy.
The Underwater Moviemaker Course is designed to be flexible. If there is something particular you would like to learn, we can personalise your course itinerary to suit you.
Typical Underwater Moviemaker Course Itinerary
Meet at Scubafish dive centre at 7.45am for a tea or coffee, before making your way to the dive boat, where you can relax and enjoy breakfast.
Learn about how to use your camera & underwater housing. Practice some basic videography techniques and key safety procedures, before making your first dive with one of our underwater video experts at your side.
During the surface interval, we have lunch, then discuss the first dive – giving you as much feedback as possible to make sure you get the most out of your next dive.
On the second dive, try some different subjects and shot types. Collect more great footage of our many fascinating underwater residents.
Arriving back at the dive centre at around 2pm, we’ll review your footage, give you an easy introduction to editing and burn a DVD of your footage to take home and enjoy.

Who can participate in the Underwater Moviemaker Course?
If you’re aged 12+ and have already completed the PADI Open Water Course (or equivalent), in general good health and fitness, and are not suffering from a cold or ear infection, you should be eligible to enroll on the Underwater Moviemaker LIQUID LENSE Course.

Courses start every day, at a time to suit you. You can book now, or come in to see see us while you’re on holiday in Ko Lanta. We offer free transfers to and from your resort in Ko Lanta for any of our dive courses or daily dive trips.

We teach all of our underwater photography & videography courses in small groups to ensure that you receive the attention that you deserve.
On the dive boats, we supply breakfast, lunch, drinking water, soft drinks and fruit. We also provide a selection of fruit juices and towels on each trip.
