Welcome to one of PADI’s most popular specialties – the PADI Enriched Air (NITROX) Diver course. Diving with Enriched Air (NITROX) lets you safely extend your no stop time beyond the no decompression limits for air. Diving with enriched air means more time underwater – but you need to be certified as an Enriched Air Diver to get enriched air fills.

What will I Learn during the PADI Enriched Air (NITROX) Diver Course?

The PADI Enriched Air (NITROX) course is designed to introduce you to the planning, safety aspects and benefits of diving with enriched air. The programme addresses the use of enriched air with 22 percent to 40 percent oxygen, with emphasis on enriched air with 32 and 36 percent oxygen.

After watching a video and completing some self-study sessions, spend a day out on the dive boat, diving Lanta’s top dive sites, to complete 2 dives to a maximum depth of 30m (depending on your experience level). Learn how to analyse your own air using an Oxyliser, and plan individual dive profiles based on the exact percentage of oxygen in your tank. Practice scuba diving with a computer set to your own scuba tank gas mix.

There is a final exam to sit when taking this course.

Who can participate in the PADI Enriched Air (NITROX) Diver Specialty Course?

If you’re aged 15+ and have already completed the PADI Open Water course (or equivalent), in general good health and fitness, and are not suffering from a cold or ear infection, you should be eligible to become a PADI certified Speciality Diver in Enriched Air (NITROX).

Courses start every day, at a time to suit you. You can book now, or come in to see see us while you’re on holiday in Ko Lanta. We offer free transfers to and from your resort in Ko Lanta for any of our dive courses or daily dive trips.

What languages do you teach in?

We run PADI Enriched Air (NITROX) Diver Courses in English, German, Swedish and French. We run semi-supported courses in Danish, Norwegian, Finnish, Spanish, Italian, Dutch and Thai. Please let us know if you require course materials in another language and we will order them for you.

How much does it cost?

The PADI Enriched Air (NITROX) Diver Course costs 10,800 THB. At Scubafish, all our scuba certification courses include manuals and free scuba diving equipment rental. For the PADI Enriched Air (NITROX) Diver Course program you’ll receive the PADI Enriched Air (NITROX) Diver Manual, dive planning tables and slates and waterproof zip bag.

There may be a fuel surcharge to visit some of the further away dive sites if you choose to dive these sites during your course.

In addition, we teach all of our diver level courses in small groups to ensure that you receive the attention that you deserve. All our courses are taught to PADI Standards and prices include PADI certification fees.
On the dive boats, we supply breakfast, lunch, drinking water, soft drinks and fruit. We also provide a selection of fruit juices and towels on each trip.
