The PADI Deep Diver Course lets you experience the thrill of
diving to greater depths. Learn about safely planning no-decompression
deep dives to depths of up to 40 m.

Experience the thrill of of diving to greater depths. The PADI Deep Diver Specialty course offers you the opportunity of a lifetime – going deep to see things others can only dream about. In this course you will experience what it’s like to dive beyond 18m/60ft.

Down there, it’s different and requires additional training. Learn about safely planning no-decompression deep dives to depths of up to 40 m. The purpose of the PADI Deep Diver Speciality Course is to familiarize scuba divers with the skills, procedures, techniques, problems, hazards and enjoyment of diving between the depths of 18 meters and 40 meters. Participants will learn the correct use of Delayed Surface Marker Buoys, free water ascents and mandatory safety stops.

Taken over two days, this course involves two days out on the boat, making a total of 4 dives. There’s also some self-study to do.

What will I Learn during the PADI Deep Diver Specialty Course?

The PADI Deep Diver Specialty Course course is designed to introduce students to the planning, safety aspects and benefits of diving to the greatest depths recommended to recreational divers.

Learn about Nitrogen Narcosis, making emergency decompression stops and how to set up a drop tank. Consider new hazards that may exist at deeper depths, such as reduced visibility, colour loss and colder water temperatures.

Practice diving with a dive computer and learn more about safety considerations when planning multiple dives in a day.

Who can participate in the PADI Deep Diver Specialty Course?

If you’re aged 15+ and have already completed the PADI Adventure Diver course (or equivalent), in general good health and fitness, and are not suffering from a cold or ear infection, you should be eligible to become a certified PADI Deep Diver.

How often do you run PADI Deep Diver Courses?

Courses start every day, at a time to suit you. You can book now, or come in to see see us while you’re on holiday in Ko Lanta. We offer free transfers to and from your resort in Ko Lanta for any of our dive courses or daily dive trips.

What languages do you teach in?

We run PADI Deep Diver Courses in English, German, Swedish and French. We run semi-supported courses in Danish, Norwegian, Finnish, Spanish, Italian, Dutch and Thai. Please let us know if you require course materials in another language and we will order them for you.

How much does it cost?

The PADI Deep Diver Course costs 13,000 THB. At Scubafish, all our scuba certification courses include manuals and free scuba diving equipment rental. For the PADI Deep Diver Course program you’ll receive the PADI Deep Diver Manual and waterproof zip bag.

There may be a fuel surcharge to visit some of the further away dive sites if you choose to dive these sites during your course.

In addition, we teach all of our diver level courses in small groups to ensure that you receive the attention that you deserve. All our courses are taught to PADI Standards and prices include PADI certification fees.
On the dive boats, we supply breakfast, lunch, drinking water, soft drinks and fruit. We also provide a selection of fruit juices and towels on each trip.
